That is the way that we do it and we use a few paid things. If you’re going to go down the paid route, the first areas I would start to drop off, if money was an issue, is you don’t have to submit to all of the blog networks. Just go for AMA or Unique Article Wizard Review. I’d drop off the blog post, the hundred word posts as well. I’d keep the web 2.0 because the good thing is, it’s like you’re building your own little blog network and it can be useful later once you start to build your own links.
